Teaching Methods

                            ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

In my short teaching experience, I used to make my students (kindergarten, first and second grade) do a lot of actions and I always got surprised how they got to learn lessons and actions in a very easy and fast way. I was only a beginner so I didn't actually know that I was making use of a teaching method that seems to be one of the most effective ones. This is The Total Physical Response. I can add that the method that really caught my attention was the Direct Method. I found this method really useful and interactive. I would love to be able to put it in practice in my classes once I have the opportunity. Today, I can tell that no method is perfect, but mixing them could lead to a really good class.

Reading

There is something that I really found interesting when I visited the Public Library of Faitteville. That was how this place worries about kids and makes them get involved in reading since they are only little kids. I have never considered myself as a reading fan, and I always wondered how some other people had developed this amazing habit. I have to say that if in my country, local libraries started a project just as the one here in Fayetteville, many people would develop a passion for reading. A bunch of ideas have come into my mind to be applied when becoming a teacher back there in my country. I want my students to enjoy this amazing habit. I want them to read and take advantage of what the world of reading might bring for them. This is a unstoppable source of knowledge.
